Medicare Covered Diabetes Testing Supplies
Medicare will cover the cost of your diabetes testing supplies if you carry the Part B Medical coverage. Here's a list of items covered by Medicare Diabetic Benefits: Medicare-Approved Diabetes Supplies:

- Glucometers
- Lancets
- Lancing Devices
- Meter batteries
- Diabetic Control Solution
- Vacuum Erection Pumps
Diabetes testing supplies are paid out at 80% of their fee schedule by Medicare after your annual deductible. Annual deductibles are $100.00 and apply to all of your medical costs like doctor's visits, etc.
Supplemental insurance to Medicare usually pays for the 20% co-pay, and in some cases covers your annual deductible also.
If you are on a limited income and do not have a Supplemental Insurance , you may be eligible for our Financial Assistance Hardship Program. If accepted, FreedoMed will waive the 20% co-payment for Medicare covered diabetes testing supplies.
"Accepting Assignment" means that FreedoMed will not charge you any dollar amount above Medicare's allowed rate.

Medicare Diabetic Benefits do not cover any items they consider to be "prescription" items.
